New Body Optimization Guide: Hands and Feet

It been five years since the official general release of the previous 57-body 3.0 version. Through years of summarizing issues, conducting reflections, and making trade-offs, some designs and ideas were applied to the subsequent bodies of other sizes. Finally, the accumulated experience is incorporated into the upcoming 58-body. Regarding the specific optimizations compared to the previous 57-body 3.1 version, we don't want to merely generalize by saying "joint design optimized for better mobility." Next, we will elaborate through several chapters as comprehensively as possible.
【Upgrading from detachable ball-jointed hands to integrated design】

The detachable design of the previous ball-jointed hands might have appeared more sophisticated visually, but we discovered two potential issues:
1. Hand screws might detach due to long-term frequent or forceful use.
2. The maximum swing amplitude of the palms could become uncontrollable due to the detachable structure, possibly leading to inconsistent left-right swing ranges or the hands failing to hold the joint balls securely.
The integrated hand-ball design simplifies uncontrollable factors and enables smoother hand control through optimized joint design.
【Addressing two pain points of the previous feet】

The previous 57-body was produced through the process of clay sculpting → resin prototyping → resin molding. During production, insufficient shrinkage allowance was reserved for small components, causing the finished hands and feet to be slightly smaller than the original design. This issue has been resolved in the 26, 42, and 62-size bodies released in recent years. Similar to the 62-body, the new 58-body adds an S-hook slot on the calf, using our custom S-hooks for more convenient foot replacement.
【Final note on compatibility between old and new components】
We have tested installing the hands and feet of the previous 57-body onto the new 58-body, and they are basically compatible (including joint hands). However, since we will launch dedicated hand/foot accessories for the new 58-body in the future, we do not recommend purchasing old hand sets for the new body (except for joint hands). Other details will be supplemented later. Thank you for your support!
